I understand our experience with Accent Care is our own and maybe we were just unlucky with the nurses that were assigned to us. This will be a short summary of our experiences with them. The intake nurse that came was actually very helpful. She was polite, and very thorough during her visit. That was the last time we received any real help. We were on the home health for two months. It was two visits for two weeks then down to one every week after that. The way they schedule visits is they call the night before, and I don’t mean the day before. They will call no earlier than 6 pm to schedule an appointment for the next day. It was pretty inconvenient to say the least when the patient has more than one doctor appointment every week. The first nurse that came was very nice but spent most the time talking about other patients. But she at least seemed like she cared. Then one week we get the call the night before which was expected at this point. She told us of the window in which she would stop by. Next day nothing. So I waited a few hours after the scheduled time. She tells me “I’m sorry we had a meeting at work” which if is true, than that’s on the company but I honestly thinks that was bs. The logical question next of course is why didn’t you call to let us know? “I was going to but the day got away from me” I just hang up. Next day she show up out of the blue and I was pretty upset still. Now this is where I almost said something that would not be appropriate. She then ask can I just sign a form saying that she came by and did you job for the visit. After this we went a different route. Unless the person you’re signing up for this service is someone you really don’t care for, look elsewhere.
