Travis, community Liason, was wonderful and got us set up within hours. He handled everything and was very responsive even late at night. Nurses were great too and made the process simple and streamlined unlike the experience I had without hospice. Highly recommend.

A True Hospice Experience – Compassionate, Thorough, and Supportive I am writing this on behalf of my entire family to express our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion we received during one of the most difficult times of our lives. My aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer in March, after what had been a wonderful January. By June, she was hospitalized and given a very limited life expectancy. As a family, we were completely off guard and unsure of what steps to take next. Thankfully, a case manager at the hospital referred us to this hospice agency, and we truly believe that God placed us in the right hands. From the very beginning, we were met with professionalism, compassion, and clarity. A representative from the agency met with us and explained the entire process in detail. They helped us get all the necessary medical equipment and set up transportation for my aunt to come home. Even though everything was happening so quickly, each step was explained thoroughly and patiently. The agency communicated directly with the hospital’s case manager, my aunt’s nurse, and her physician we didn’t have to worry about anything except being there to support our loved one. When my aunt arrived home the next day around 2:15 PM, she was met by a kind and professional nurse who introduced herself as the admission nurse. She completed a very thorough intake process, reviewing all my aunt’s medical records, her diagnosis, prognosis, and what to expect moving forward. She carefully went over medications, ensured the medical equipment was working properly, and made sure my cousins were comfortable and confident in their roles as caregivers. She left us with a binder of information, emergency contact steps, and a clear plan. The next day, we received a call from the case manager nurse assigned to my aunt. At first, we weren’t quite sure what her role was, but she explained everything with such grace and clarity. She told us she would be managing my aunt’s care alongside the physician and would be visiting that same day. She also informed us that a hospice aide would help with hygiene needs, and a social worker would be reaching out as well. That day, both the nurse case manager and the aide arrived together. They completed an in-depth assessment, talked to us about medications, prognosis, and what to expect. The aide was also incredibly helpful, showing us safe techniques to transfer and turn my aunt in bed. We were truly impressed with their professionalism and compassion from the very start. We met the social worker the following day, and once again, we were met with thoroughness, kindness, and invaluable support. We had nothing in place in terms of arrangements, but they walked us through every step, preparing us for the difficult days ahead. Sadly, my aunt passed away a few weeks after entering hospice care. But in those weeks, this team became like family to us. Their compassion, understanding, and constant support helped us more than words can express. Even after my aunt passed, they continued to reach out and provide bereavement support and they’ve explained that they will continue to walk with us through the grieving process for the next 13 months. We cannot thank this agency enough. They were a blessing to our family during such a heartbreaking time. They gave my aunt dignity and comfort in her final days, and they gave us peace of mind and guidance when we needed it most. We are forever grateful. THANK YOU STAR OF TEXAS HOSPICE!!!!

Thank you for the professional and compassionate care! Made us feel as comfortable as possible, and we so appreciate you! The aides who came to help with personal care were respectful, warm, and consistent. Our hospice social worker was a lifeline, helping us manage practical details while also giving us the emotional space to grieve and prepare. The chaplain, whose visits became such a comfort, brought peace in a way that no words can fully capture. What stood out most was how responsive and accessible the team was. Any time we called—whether day or night—someone answered and helped us immediately. That kind of reliability is rare in healthcare today, and we are deeply grateful for it. We also appreciated how Star of Texas Hospice supported us, not just during our loved one’s final days, but after. The bereavement team reached out, followed up, and made sure we were not alone in the days that followed. This is more than just a hospice company—it’s a group of dedicated professionals who believe in what they do and who go above and beyond every single day. If you’re considering hospice for someone you love, I cannot recommend Star of Texas Hospice enough. They made a heartbreaking time bearable—and even beautiful in some ways. We are forever thankful.

When our loved one’s condition began to decline, we were overwhelmed, unsure of what to expect, and struggling to navigate all the medical decisions. From our very first call with Star of Texas Hospice, we felt supported and informed. The admission process was smooth, fast, and handled with so much care. Within hours, a nurse was at our home explaining everything clearly and kindly. What struck us immediately was how the team didn’t just talk to us—they talked with us. They wanted to understand who our loved one was as a person, not just as a patient. Throughout the weeks that followed, every nurse visit, aide visit, and phone call reinforced that we were not alone. Their clinical team was proactive and always ahead of any symptoms—adjusting medications and comfort measures before we even asked. It gave us peace of mind that our loved one would not suffer. What also impressed us was how well the entire care team communicated—not only with each other, but with us. We never had to chase information or wonder what was happening. Everyone—from the case manager to the spiritual counselor—was aligned, compassionate, and professional. They also made the home environment feel calm and sacred. The small gestures mattered: holding our hands, sitting with us during difficult moments, bringing in equipment quickly, and just being there when we needed someone. That human presence meant everything. After our loved one passed, the care didn’t stop. We received calls, resources, and even a handwritten card. It was clear that the relationship we built with Star of Texas Hospice was more than just medical—it was personal. I cannot thank the team enough for how they helped our family walk through this time. They gave us space to be present, grieve gently, and remember the moments that mattered most. I highly recommend Star of Texas Hospice to any family looking for not just care—but true support during life’s most difficult time.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the compassionate and professional care provided by Star of Texas Hospice during one of the most difficult times in our lives. From the moment my family member was admitted into their care, every team member from the nurses and aides to the social workers and chaplains treated our loved one with dignity, respect, and genuine kindness. They not only managed pain and symptoms with skill and attentiveness, but they also supported our entire family emotionally and spiritually. Communication was clear and consistent, and we always felt heard and understood. What stood out most was how they treated our loved one as a whole person, not just a patient. The warmth and empathy shown by the staff brought us peace in the midst of our grief. Thank you, Star of Texas Hospice for walking this journey with us and for the comfort and support you provided every step of the way. Your work truly makes a difference.
