Bad business, they pay late, they pay short, they tell you to go at a certain time and they are closed, they don't know what they are doing in the office

This review is not easy to post as I highly respect medical professionals and understand some of the issues that are out of their control. My experience with Healing Hands Home Health began on Feb 28, 2023 with a MD referral for post op PT home health services and authorization from my health insurance. Initially, plans were set for a nurse and PT provider to come for an initial consult on March 2nd. Needless to say that didn’t happen, nor did they come on the rescheduled visit for March 6th and no one called to explain. Multiple attempts to reach the case manager, Ms. K., for a reason for the failed visits, or to clear up a possible problem were unsuccessful. My calls to her went unanswered, or I was left on hold between 5-15 minutes, or was told she’ll get back to me. As you may have guessed, she doesn’t. Ms. I. Z. (owner) was unreachable as well. All this while I was strung along that I was on the caseload, but no one would call or come by and I lost a week of skilled help that I needed. Giving them the benefit of the doubt and the time to get free from their busy schedule, I waited until the 6th business day for them to get back to me and hopefully reach a resolution before posting this negative, but truthful review (I have call log records as proof). The frustrating part was their failure to communicate. What I had to realize was that actions (their failure to act) speak louder than words (their empty promises). Perhaps their service providers are worthy of recommendation, but I’ll never know. Are you willing to take that chance? The star is for the receptionist who took my multiple calls, was always professional, and truly made an effort to get my calls answered. I finally had to move on. Shout out to Amistad Home Health Inc.!!! Within 24 hours from my first call, I had my initial visit with the intake nurse and a call from the PT. The PT provided guidance, answered questions, provided educational videos and scheduled a visit. On my way to better health with Amistad!

Bad customer service, miscommunication with staff and only one competent nurse. My mother in law had to hassle with these people, which didn't aid her recovery. I would not recommend this place. Wound care is not their specialty. Bad thing is, these people were recommended by the specialty hospital. Don't fall for it, go somewhere else.
