Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with St Jude. When you have a patient under hospice, services should be second to none. This means taking more than just vital signs and not be quick to jet out the door; showing up to work with enthusiasm as opposed to showing that you are going through the motions, and having a rapport with the doctor who is assigned to the patient are examples of what family members want to see since they are now the voice of the patient. No family wants to feel like their situation is just a ticking time bomb. Last but not least, when a client wishes to change hospice services, please dont give family members a hard time about it. If services were not met, one should respect it and move on. There was an RN (AG) who raised her voice over the phone and was just questioning everything after being informed of the disappointment the family experienced. Family only wants the best for their loved ones.
