One nurse in particular has an issue with being very unethical and inappropriate. Especially with married men while at work. Shame shame

My boyfriend arrived at the ER here with a gash on his foot from a work injury, he waited in the ER for 2.5 hours before being seen. Did not bring him back in a wheel chair, just watched him limp his way back. They didn’t get him stitched up until another hour after that. His injury chipped his bone as well. They sent him home with no pain medication or instructions on what to do at home. No instructions on when he can go back to work. The discharge papers also have no instructions. The woman at the front desk didn’t ask for his insurance and when he asked if she needed it she stated “I have no clue”. His pain at home has been unmanageable, he could not sleep. He called the ER today to inquire about pain medication and they stated “probably just want you to switch between Tylenol and ibuprofen”. This injury is all the way to the bone, the laceration needed 9 stitches, and won’t even prescribe extra strength Tylenol or ibuprofen? No one in this hospital seems to know what they’re doing.

Came in because I accidentally jammed something into my ear. I pulled it out at home. But noticed immediate pain and it was bleeding. Primary car said go to the er. I was dizzy and nauseous, couldn’t hear, my ear is ringing, tightness in my face . All for the doctor to whom I thought was nice at first, to look at it and say let me go grab something for you and about 15 mins later the nurse(whom I’ve seen somewhere else before and wasn’t the nicest person in the first place. She made it seem as if I wasn’t important to begin with.) came in and they discharged me. No ear drop for pain relief. No nasua medicine while I was there. I was told to pick it up which takes a while to get filled. And to put orjel in my ear when I get home. This was a waste of money. The gave me no relief at all. I just wanted a simple freaking ear drop or heck put the orjel in there while I’m here. Give me zophrane while I’m here. It was not at all like I was asking for anything hardcore or a narcotic. But seriously waste of money. & that nurse was rude to me before at where she was before and I wanna say I filed a complaint there also. It is the older blonde lady with short hair. She is a joke. The doctor seemed cool but didn’t realize this was the way I would be treated and I’m not sure if he played a factor in this. But why spend all the money to go for NO RELIEF! I would rather go to Decatur Hospital any day then this place.

Do not go here. They will leave you to suffer. Ended up leaving and taking my parents to Harris where they took care of them immediately. My mom was So dehydrated her body was drawing up after an hr of waiting for help we left and will never go back. What a sorry excuse for a hospital.

Dr. Benson and FNP-BC Erica Patton have taken phenomenal care of my mother over the last two weeks. They are knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. The nursing staff has been exceptional. I couldn’t be more pleased!
