This is the worst company I had. I did have some good Lvn but them Rn need to start from Cna and work they way up. They treat patients like trash on bottom of your shoes. I evening had one RN making me like community suide. Everything leave I start feeling weird this never happened before. If you care about your family don't send them there.

Not impressed, supposed to pull my staples on a Wednesday, I had to call and raise hell Wednesday evening to get them to pull them on Thursday, seems they had scheduled me for Friday without asking me, or the doctor even though everyone i talked to told me they would do it Wednesday. Also, apparently they randomly schedule you PT for what ever 3 days that week that they feel like. I will never accept a referral to them again.

I just want to take a minute to brag on my amazing Physical Therapist Cheryl Dickey!! I had a total knee replacement, and she has been an awesome therapist for me . She goes above and beyond to make sure you understand every exercise and what it does, and she is so patient. She has 30 + years experience and she is just the best !!

My mom was discharged from the hospital post UTI and recent stroke. The referral went to Enhabit. They never called. I called them inquiring what the plan was and was told I would get a call by the end of the day. No call, so I called them back. Then I was told my mom's insurance is out of network. So, I called the insurance company and they were not out of network. The insurance company called Enhabit with me on 3 way. Enhabit told them, we are out of network and sorry for the inconvenience. I was told by the hospital to call back cause that did not make sense. I called corporate since the manager at Palestine, Megan, never called back. I'm still waiting on a call 5 days after discharge. Don't waste your time.

I recommend respectfully, but firmly, declining if your primary healthcare provider or hospital discharge manager recommends or schedules Encompass Health of East Texas served out of the Palestine, Texas region. Our patient experience was less than positive to the point we became resentful of their presence in our lives and ultimately lead to an Encompass Health of East Texas provider being ordered off the property. My wife was the patient and I was there to assist her. She was in post-stroke recovery and had been recently discharged from the Christus Mother Frances Rehab facility in Tyler. During the entire process, every single visit, the provider representatives of Encompass Health of East Texas were more focused on filling in the blanks of a computer questionnaire than the patient. This created an atmosphere of intrusion and a sense of loss of control to some mechanical process. The providers from Encompass Health of East Texas were more like protocol droids in scrub suit uniforms; disconnected, machine-driven robots providing ‘care’ as if it were a chore being overseen by some distant, and unknowable, task master. The only thing we got from the Physical Therapists were bad vibes and over-bearing behaviors. Again, based on redundant computer-based questionnaires, lack of inter-personal skills, and protocol paradigms. Obviously, we did not feel the care from the computer like the corporate office feels. The one exception was the Occupational Therapist who actually accomplished something. Aside from the protocols and the artificial intelligence care management system, as people, the female nurses and therapists were personable and encouraging but they seemed to be restricted by the computers they carry. The men providers caused us disgust and loathing. Those two men should be sent to sensitivity training, perhaps to one of those re-education centers in China we hear about on the news. The final straw with the Encompass Health of East Texas providers was when a provider showed up at the appointment on time but spent 15 to 20 minutes on his phone out in our driveway before coming to the door. We were boiling with anger over his rude behavior. During the visit our dissatisfaction peaked resulting in us running him off the property. And, as I told the ‘Encompass Health of East Texas Regional Director’ who attempted to intervene, we will call the Sheriff’s Office if another Encompass Health of East Texas vehicle showed back up. Our attitude about Encompass Health of East Texas is never, ever again.
