We never used them because when I called to check on schedule a person answered with "hello". I had to ask if it was Total Patient Care. She said she would transfer me to "supplies". When transferred it disconnected. I called back and she said I could email and get someone to email me back. I said can't someone return my call. She huffed and asked for my husband's name again and acted like it was a major inconvenience. She asked for an agency name and I didn't know what that was. The surgeon had sent the order. She didn't like that either.. I gave up and said I would just go somewhere else.

The nurse assigned to my mother was the absolute worse. She would say she is coming first thing in the morning and not show, or she just would not schedule in advance when she was coming. One time she said she was on her way, it was about 2:00 p.m. at 6:30 p.m. she still had not shown up. I text her, where are you. She replied she was at her daughters basketball game, she could come after it was over 7:30 p.m. I told her no, it was too late. She told me she would come the next day. I thought she would put my mother first, since she skipped her the day before, No way, she has a schedule and she must adhere to the schedule and she has to pay for her own gas, it would be too expensive for her to deviate to my mother who she skipped the day before. She would send a text, I'm on my way to see momma, which my mother absolutely hated being called "momma", this was told to the nurse. When she came, we were the one telling her to -check her blood sugar, look at her legs (they were seeping horribly), she looked and said "Oh I have some gauze in my car come out and get it. She was the nurse, not me yet I was the one who wrapped up her legs. When we decided to call hospice, Allie was going to take care of it. The 2nd day, had not heard anything, so I contacted Nurse Allie, "oh that is not something that doesn't happen quickly, it takes days or weeks before that can be done." That is when we took things in our own hands and hospice was there in hours. She text me 3 days later, wanting to know if hospice had come out, well she should have been on her schedule to come see her, which she did not. Save yourself heartache and worries and do NOT use this company, their nurses only care about themselves.

My wife was assigned "A Sensitive Touch Home Health " also DBA as TPC Plus Health, LLC when discharged from the hospital because the hospital social worker said they accepted our insurance. I read their reviews and didn't like what I read so I call them and spoke to Mike who said TPC Health had acquired them and things were better now and we would be satisfied. Well we're not satisfied at all. My first complaint came just two days after coming home from the hospital. I called the 24 hour number at 7:45 on Sunday morning, spoke to the operator who said she would contact the on call RN. Well as of this writing which is 2 weeks later, still haven't gotten that call. We had to make an after hours call to the doctor to get the answer we needed. As others have mentioned RN and PT employee's obviously make their own schedules, and never make them in advance while at your home, and then may call and reschedule at the last minute. The assessment nurse ordered additional wound care supplies and that too took 14 days to arrive and when it did there are enough supplies to stock a doctors office for weeks. I called the office on 10/2 at 10:45 am and asked to speak to management about this enormous quantity of supplies. Was told management was in a meeting and someone would call when meeting was finished. I'm still waiting for that call also. The RN and PT person seem competent but spend as little time with you as possible. I can continue but won't because I think you see this isn't a company I would ever recommend.

Terrible. Do not use this service. Nora, Who is assigned to us as my mothers care representative, absolutely has tremendous areas that need improvement in her customer service, manner and overall Customer interaction. I’m actually embarrassed for her and her behavior. Customers like us who need these services are already going through stressful times trying to get the best care for their family in need and certainly do not need to be treated in hostile manners. The service was helping my mother for physical therapy and speech therapy. They contract out for the therapies and I must say, the speech therapist has been wonderful, but she does not work directly for total patient care. I would say Total Patient Care, overall, needs to improve on their protocol and process. We had a plan in place and then she yelled and talked over me stating something completely different from the plan that was in place. All they had to do was tell us they could not accommodate my mother 3 weeks ago and we could find a different service. Unfortunately, the therapist did not show up last Thursday and now, they abruptly discharged without telling us what was happening. This is patient dumping and is illegal. I will be filing a formal complaint. Now my mom is not going to have therapy until we find another service. Had they informed us earlier, we could’ve been finding new service while she was getting at least “some“ therapy. Either way, I do not recommend Total Patient Care or the customer case manager Nora.

The care givers assigned to my father were for the most part competent. I was never given a schedule of which people would come when. After the first couple of weeks we determined that a nurse would come once per week, physical therapist would come twice per week and an aide would come twice per week. Then everything changed, we were expected to sit at home waiting for them to arrive with no notice of schedule changes. For instance, the nurse was coming Tuesday afternoons, then one week she doesn't show up and a "supervisor" comes on Friday. The aide was coming Monday and Friday, then we found out only 4 visits were approved by insurance. It took me another week to get additional visits for the aide in the meantime we hired an individual to help us out, so we asked TPC to change their aide to once per week, on Thursday. I was told the care givers set their own schedules and to make the arrangements myself. I did that. The aide failed to come as requested, and has since missed 2 other appointments. I asked TPC to send someone else. They said they would. I called 3 times during a 7 day period before the replacement contacted me to let me know she was coming between 9 and 10 the following day. At 11:30, she had not shown up, so we left for our doctor appointment. When I asked for a schedule, I was given a document that stated a nurse would come once, Monday-Friday. The same for physical therapy and the aide. If your time is important to you I recommend that you look elsewhere. If I get any notification, at all, it is at most, the night before, and usually the same day. I've called numerous times, and although they are so sorry, they don't think they have done anything wrong. Care givers are assigned to you, but they come when it's convenient for them. Insurance claims are now being processed and they are billing $395 per visit! A visit for the physical therapist is about 30 minutes, the nurse visit is 15 minutes and the aide is about 20 minutes. Outrageous. We have numerous doctor appointments and I always inform TPC, as I have no idea when someone might show up. To update, I was contacted by someone asking how our replacement aide worked out. I said it didn't. I again asked for a schedule, since a nurse did not show up last week at all. I was told they were coming on Monday. No show on Monday. Nurse called Tuesday morning and said she would come that day, could not give me a time. I let her know we had Dr appts, so she said she would come Thursday. We'll see.
