Currently working with Advocate. STAY AWAY! We had a great nurse for the first 2 weeks. Then nobody showed up for over a month. When aI called the hey told me that the Nurse had Quit, so if I hadn’t called they would have never told me. We didn’t see a nurse for weeks, we currently haven’t seen OT/PT for over a month. They do not check on their patients or on top of the he care plan. HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY and save yourself a headache, find your self another Company.

My husband's "home care" by Advocate has been a poor experience. They told us "the PT & Nurse will notify you the day prior" .. never has happened. We've had NUMEROUS calls into case manager trying to get a schedule.. no luck. NO PT has ever shown up (even though case manager told us "well, they were scheduled to come out"). Only good thing is that some nurses have come out (notifying us 45 mins prior to arrival).

Advocate received a referral for PT for my mother on 12/20/21. They did not send out anyone until 12/26/21 and that was a nurse. We received a Physical Therapy eval on 12/31/21 after repeated calls to advocate who had simply stated "people are on vacation". After that eval there was no contact until I initiated contact on 1/7/22 to ask the status of her authorization and visit frequency. I was initially told that they were waiting on "insurance" to approve it. When I asked the date they sent it to insurance as we would be calling them to ask about the delay, I was then told they had not requested an auth that they were waiting on an Oasis Nurse to review the file. This is not a requirement for insurance request. When I asked if this was normal business practice to delay care for a 75 yr old patient who just had a major joint replacement and could I speak with the owner or the DON, a PT called and was out within an hour to see her. However I still cannot get the owner or the DON to call back to address the breakdown in care, they have not addressed the recommendations from the first PT that came out nor did they provide any printed materials on physical therapy. At this point I am not 100% confident my mother was even seen by a physical therapist the second time.
