There are not enough words to express my gratitude for the Active Hospice organization in Sandy. From the very first phone call to the last moment, everyone was prompt, respectful, and compassionate. I called on a Thursday, and we were signed up on Friday with all insurance matters approved, ready to move forward. We started visits on Monday, which included our nurse, social worker, chaplain, and CNA. Medication and medical equipment also came promptly. After a couple of months, in and out of the hospital, unresponsive 3 times and 1 auto accident, all with excruciating pain, my dad was angry and ready to quit. Before the end of the first week with hospice, he told us thank you, and what a life change it was. No hospitals, no ambulance, just a peaceful feeling of knowing he was always going to be home with his dog. This is who I want to help me when the time comes!

I brought my husband home with assistance of Active Home Health after a 7 day stay at the Hospital. The aide assigned to him was Marina Salas. She is such a warm and caring woman. My husband has dementia and he normally doesn’t do well with people he doesn’t know but with Marina he felt comfortable from the first visit. She definitely went over the call of duty to help me with his care. Thank you Active Home Health for employing such caring people.

Marina first came to us to help Mom with daily tasks and help her remember to take her meds. She was recommended by Skip Barry when Marina was caring for her husbamd. Mom was initially resistant but Marina won her over and became an important part of Mom's life of independence. Mom fell, however and was hospitalized and could return to her home only with 24/7 care. Marina was invaluable in this. She even brought a young Shi-tsu to her that has become the hilight of her life. When Mom went on hospice, Marina provided showers, permanents, etc. Mom was recently taken off hospice but she is still likely to see her.

The care my Dad receives with Active Home Care has been reliable, efficient, and personable. My Dad considers Marina his good friend and has grown to love and appreciate all she does for him throughout the week. We are grateful for the fantastic care given to our beloved Father and recommend Active to anyone needing Hospice care.

Cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care given to my Mom with Active Hospice. Absolutely every aspect of her care was kind, heartfelt and professional. It saved us when we were struggling to care for my Mom as she neared the end. Josh, RN was amazing - his communication skills and medical knowledge was incredible - so very impressive! He was such a patient listener to my 95 year Dad and 93 year old Mom! Liz, CNA was so loved by my Mom. She was incredibly kind and gentle - so thankful for her. Rhonda, MSW was always ready and available whenever we needed her - so friendly, and sensitive to our needs and requests - thank you! John, the Chaplain - we appreciated his attentiveness and bringing my Mom chocolate on his very last visit was so sweet!(no pun intended). And Rae, last but not least, was so helpful arranging last minute daily care. We could not have asked for anything better than this team of professionals with such kindness at such a difficult time.
