I started with Maxim as an LPN and have stayed since getting my RN. It was a daunting experience at first, but I felt super supported by the office staff in ensuring I had rigorous training to take care of medically complex kids. I love the patient ratio (1:1 nurse/patient) and also the different opportunities there are for working in patient homes and/or accompanying them to school). Whenever I have a question the supervisors are reachable and helpful when clinical questions arise. The office staff and communication has definitely improved and I feel like I’m taken care of with scheduling needs/commutes etc. Braxton and the SLC office staff have also been really helpful and understanding when I had some unexpected life circumstances arise. They worked with me and were incredibly patient during this difficult time. I am glad I gave them a chance and am looking forward to growing with them throughout my nursing career. Shoutout to management and supervisors: Braxton, Laurel, Jared, Anna & Heather And Admin staff: Tanner, Deisi & Autumn

My experience with them felt like a joke honestly. They didn't care about how we felt. The nurse we had kept turning off my son's monitor when he was prescribed continuous monitoring by his pulmonologist (I've got video proof of this), not to mention my son was sick at the time and on 4 times the amount of his normal oxygen concentration, but they didn't care and when I tried canceling services they didn't even listen to me everyone just kept transferring my phone call around. Braxton didnt care what i had to say and didn't want to listen to the legitimate concerns I had either but made sure to give me a guilt trip about taking away someone's job when i told him i wanted services canceled. My son ended up back in the hospital via lifeflight and even after I told them I wanted services canceled, the company still tried calling the hospital and kept trying to get information about my son and told me to call them to reinstate services when my son returned home. I never did call them back and I'm glad I didn't because at least I got to spend my son's last few weeks before he passed away with just my family. Here's a tip Maxim: try showing some compassion and respect to the families actually going through it. Home nursing isn't for everyone. Respect our wishes.

I have been working for them for 2 years in Salt Lake, Utah. I love working for them. I was burnt out working for nursing homes and having 1 patient is a DREAM!!!!!!!!!! I found my love for nursing again. They have been good to me. They could do better in the communication dept. but other than that I am happy with them.

I have worked for Maxim since 2013, I started out in the flu and wellness program and have worked homecare and school nursing with this company. They have many great opportunities for your nursing career. They have always supported our nurses, when I was a brand new nurse it meant so much to have great training and support from my team. Maxim has something for everyone!
