Unfortunately, my experience was not good. My mom was in their care because she had end stage renal disease. The night she passed away, the on call nurse was great, but not a peep was heard from them since then. The website is a lie. These are things they allege to provide: "Bereavement and grief support to surviving family and caregivers through Grief educational and support groups One on one counseling services Bereavement visits by social workers and chaplains". None of this occurred. I even contacted them through their website and have yet to receive a reply. Very disappointed.

The first time our Assisted Living community worked with the Independence team we were super impressed. A nurse practitioner supported our resident every day for a week while the resident was struggling. The medical director came in person for an injection and also helped clean up the resident. A very caring and attentive team! Thank you for your compassion.

Back on October 10th, I went in for a major foot surgery. I've dealt with flat feet from birth and my feet had gotten so bad it was difficult to walk. I had a major reconstruction of my foot and was placed in a physical rehab facility for a month to build strength and learn how to get around. When I left the facility and went home I was still feeling a bit unsure of myself. Luckily we chose Independence for home health and I wasn't disappointed. My PT, Heather, was amazing! She came twice a week and worked with me, teaching me more exercises to strengthen my legs and upper body. Having the one-on-one care was wonderful! She was able to correct my execution of the exercises I had previously learned, to make my workouts more effective and help me become stronger. By the time we had our last few sessions, I was far better and faster at hopping around with my walker and was left with enough knowledge to continue with my PT on my own. I will definitely miss Heather's visits. She has an amazing ability to care for and teach her patients. When I do my other foot, if I need more PT, I would gladly work with Independence and hopefully Heather. I can't say enough good things. Thanks for providing such amazing care Independence. I'm ready to get back on my feet!

Melissa, PTA with Independence Home Health, has been among the VERY BEST and MOST EXCEPTIONAL health professionals I’ve met. She has helped my elderly mother increase her mobility and strength from “frail” to an amazingly unexpected capacity over the past few months. In addition, as I am an hour’s distance away from my mother’s AL facility, she has connected with me after every session to report my mother’s progress and her BP readings. And she goes the “extra mile” to report problems like HVAC issues, other health concerns, etc to the facility and to me in a timely and succinct manner. Melissa has helped me feel confident that my mother has the best -quality life possible. I am so grateful for her service! 😊, and so is my mother. 😊
