My father needed immediate in-home support, which is a tall order even in the best of times. During COVID, it's nearly impossible—but Human Touch Blacksburg made a miracle happen. I can't express in words our gratitude to Diana and the entire office staff for treating our family's emergency as they would their own. I also have to give specific mention to our caregivers. My father is now on a low-sodium diet, and it's been a challenge for him to adjust to his new restrictions. Sandy has embraced his meal planning and preparation with flexibility and positivity, trying new recipes from his low sodium cookbook while also accommodating my mom's food preferences. Quote from my dad: "I don't know how I've lived this long without your potato pancakes!" Michael's deep knowledge and experience in the health care field bring us all a tremendous sense of comfort and security. He always has his eye out for warning signs and symptoms—while also suggesting, encouraging and supporting good habits for both my parents' overall wellness. Aging often isn't fun. Michael is so perceptive and compassionate that he's a source of strength for both my parents as they navigate this complicated chapter of their lives.

When caring for a family member, days can be long and nights even longer. Human Touch of Blacksburg has had the most accommodating and friendliest staff we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From Madye and Diana in the office to Rebecca and Michael in the field. Not only did they offer resolution to unforeseen problems but did it with a smile and understanding unlike anyone we have needed over the past 3 years. Kudos to to this team for the mental, physical and emotional support they have offered not only our loved one but our family as well.

Human Touch Home Health Care staff in Blacksburg, VA were very responsive to our needs to find many, many hours of personal (non-nursing) care for our mother in her home. We were able to both call and text staff and receive responses. Both staff (M and F) who provided services in the home were incredibly kind and willing to be creative about being helpful and supportive. The were both responsive to my calls and texts from another state, and were great about encouraging Mom to exercise, eat, and socialize. Both were highly engaged and more than helpful, in so many ways, each with individual strengths. My mother was pleased with the care.
