Amedisys Home Health Care was assigned to help my 19 yr old son with colostomy care after he had unexpected, emergency surgery and was discharged home after his hospitalization. They were great with ordering home health supplies, getting us set up when he was discharged, and teaching him how to change his bag. Our first nurse was hilarious and got my son to be involved in his own care when he was originally reluctant. She unfortunately transitioned over to hospice care but I am sure her skills will be good for those patients.

I love the care I have been getting. Your nurses have . However, their management sucks. Called me on Friday which was to be my recertification day. The nurse had already come by. I was told out of the blue that they couldn't recertify me and that day would be my nurse's last day. Out of the blue. I had my toes amputated on my left foot and my dressing should be changed every other day. Now, I have to find in home wound care. Not amused at all.

Their PT and OT is excellent. Their speech therapy is also very good. They need to improve their communication. I called in with a problem regarding my ostomy site which was swollen and very red was transferred to the ostomy. Nurse had to leave a message, marked it, urgent and receive no call back. I am very disappointed in them.

My 90-year-old father has received absolutely phenomenal care from Amedisys, thanks in large part to his incredible wound care nurse, Jeff Cox. Jeff has consistently gone above and beyond—not only in the quality of his medical treatment but in the deep empathy and compassion he shows to our entire family. His professionalism, kindness, and personal dedication to service have truly made a difference during a challenging time. As my father transitions to a senior living facility this week, we’ve been informed that the new home care falls outside of Jeff’s current service area. This is incredibly disappointing, as Jeff has become a vital part of my father’s care team. We sincerely hope to work with Amedisys to find a solution that allows Jeff to continue supporting my father's health and well-being. His continued involvement would mean the world to us.
