My doctor's office scheduled me to have physical therapy with this company. My first appointment was on Monday, February 17th, with the intake nurse. He was a male and to me was not very professional. He inquired as to why I had 2 vehicles and so many sneakers? He observed this due to the fact that I was letting him in through the garage. I scheduled a return appointment with him to remove my dressing on my knee for Monday, 2/24 @ 2 p.m. On Tuesday, 2/15, I commenced by I initial PT therapy session with Jennifer. She seemed very rush and cold. No real dialogue. The session lasted every bit of 20-25 minutes. Prior to her departure, we scheduled my next session for Thursday @ 2:30 p.m. On Thursday, Jennifer arrived at 3:30 o.m. In the interim, while waiting for her arrival, I placed a call to the main office to communicate that she had not arrived. Once she arrived, I j suited to what happen to her being here@ 2.30. She tried to say we scheduled the session for 3:30. This was not true. On Monday, 2/24, the nurse who was scheduled to remove my knee dressing after I texted him & 2:05 are we still on He texted me: sorry, I got stuck on the phone with Social Security about retirement, leaving Springfield now eta roughly 2:45 My response: Your agency seems to have no regard for other people's time and punctuality. He did not arrive until 3:35 p.m. On Thursday, February 27th, I had my last session with Jennifer. Her demeanor was totally different towards me - personable. I know it was because of me calling the main office and communicating my displeasure. Not a good business @ all. I see other reviews about time issues.

Enhabit Home Heath was "recommended" for my family by Reston Hospital. Looking back I think "recommended" means that they were the ones that give the most kickback. Enhabit Home Health has Zero coordination between the person answering the phones and the aids that showed up. My Dad was in the hospital after a fall and broke a bone in his neck and we have to be very careful. He was released form the hospital On Wednesday an aid showed up who was suppose to give them a bath, but the aide said that was someone else who was going to come Friday. Friday rolls around an aid come over to help walk up and down the street, but not to give him a bath or change his neck brace. They said the person coming Saturday was. Saturday rolls around and the aide was just checking up on him and said oh that's someone else. I complained to the office, saying this is ridiculous and explained how extremely frustrated but they said for someone was supposed to come to give him a bath Monday. They even called on Sunday to check in an see how he was doing which was nice, but they said someone would be there between 9:00 and 10:00. At 10:00 since no one has called or showed up we called the office and now they said someone is coming at 1:00pm. At any rate we are extremely frustrated, there is zero coordination between the office and the aids and a different aid shows up every time.

The director of this branch just hung up on me. I'm stunned. I didn't raise my voice, or talk over the Director. But I did repeat to her my desire to find a path forward together for my mother's care. My Mom is recovering from a stroke at home with us. She hasn't been approved to shower by the OT, saying it's too dangerous and we have complied for a month. Just wipes for my mother. It's been a month now, and we don't have a solution yet. I was asking for the status on a home health aide to help with a needed shower and then surprisingly, last week, the OT texted to say she wasn't coming anymore. What? Nothing else from the agency about a new OT or a solution. This morning, I messaged the director at the recommendation of the patient liaison. The director called me back and was dismissive and defensive in a way that she couldn't hear me advocate for my mother. Kept telling me she would speak with the OT and call me back, and also told me that she "heard all about my case" already. This director also told me that we were "wasting time going over things for a fourth time". She then hung up on me. I'm still in shock. I went into this conversation hoping to stay with this company. I will now find a new one.

August 18, 2021: We are having a very bad experience with this company. After three weeks in ICU, my mother was able to come home. We arranged for various therapies with Encompass. While mom lives here in Northern Virginia by herself, my sister and I live out of the area and had been staying here caring for her. Within a few days of mom getting home, we received advice from mom's doctor that if we planned to move mom to be closer to us, it would be best to do it quickly while she had strength and could travel. The doctor had ordered blood work for mom that Encompass was to draw. When Encompass found out that we were looking to move mom, they refused to follow the doctor's order and draw blood. When the doctor finally convinced them to draw blood on 8/14/21, we were told by Stacy, the Springfield manager, that if we took mom out of the area, they would refuse to release the blood results to us or to our doctor. We had to get mom out of the area over the weekend while she was still able to travel. And as of today, 8/18/21, Encompass has followed through and refused to release the critically needed results of the blood draw. I personally feel that this is shameful and extremely uncompassionate.
