DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. This facility has proven, time and again, that it is more concerned with the net worth of the families it serves than with providing care, dignity, and support to those at the end of their lives. In attempting to have my mother moved here, I hoped she would receive comfort in her final days. Instead, we were met with indifference and a focus on money over humanity. What makes this even more devastating is that I should have learned my lesson 13 years ago, when my grandmother’s life was cut short under the same facility’s “care.” Their negligence then cost my family dearly, and now history is repeating itself. To exploit and fail vulnerable patients, especially those on hospice, is unconscionable. Families deserve compassion, not financial scrutiny. If you value your loved one’s dignity and peace, look elsewhere. This place does not deserve your trust.

This facility is poorly managed. I sensed discrimination against some of the African American staff in this facility. I DO NOT recommend anyone, ESPECIALLY from the African American community to trust this facility. It’s been going on for years. They need to re-brand this place and get some type of structure put into play. It’s ashamed this type of behavior is being done in this type of environment. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

This facility was so amazing to my Grandma. They all treated her like family and even called her Grandma, just as she wanted to be called. She was always very clean and taken care of. As my Grandma was approaching her last days, the staff mourned with my family, you could see they loved her too. When some of my family stayed for long visits with Grandma, they provided food and coffee to my family. The staff were so quick to respond to any request we may have had. I am over the top satisfied with the services they offered to my Grandma and my family. Living far away and knowing that she was in the best care was such a relief. Thank you to the entire staff for so much care and love to my Grandma, Merle Groves. I highly recommend this facility.

So happy that my brother was able to receive rehab services here. We saw a great improvement both physically and mentally. The staff was caring, friendly and professional. My family from out of town were very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, the grounds and staff. My brother’s complaint was that they give you too much food, lol! Thank you Lake Prince for taking care of my brother.

I can't speak about the independent living side of this community. It probably is fine. The memory Dementia unit is another story altogether. What a disaster. After having a number of items stolen from my mother while in their care, we decided to put a nanny cam in place. We discovered a number of problems in just a few days that included theft, staff members using my mother's hairbrush, other residents sleeping in my mother's bed while she had to sleep on the floor for hours at a time.. I could go on and on but you get the picture. Management's reaction to what we saw? They became upset with US! They told us that we weren't allowed to video the employees as it violated their privacy. No apology was ever made about the endless list of problems that we saw. In fairness, I must say that operating a dementia unit for anyone other than the wealthy seems to be very difficult if not impossible. Most of these units are owned and operated by large conglomerates that are required to show shareholders a profit every quarter. As a result, the staffs and services provided to the residents have been slashed over the last ten years. Lake Prince Woods is more the rule rather than the exception. It was the third facility we tried in less than eighteen months. We were not demanding unusually fine levels of service. We merely wanted something other than what we considered abuse. It eventually became more affordable for us to build a small house for her and to provide round the clock care than to continue to try to locate an operation that provided her with proper care.
