*This is a review of this company's business practices*---the PTs who helped me at home were great--five stars. I was struck by a car in 2023 and needed in-home physical therapy. On the first visit, I signed a contract with Careage for $400 per visit. I did not know that Careage was out of network for my insurance--was in a wheelchair, on pain meds, ect. Careage proceeded to charge $1,500 per visit to my insurance. When I called and discussed it with the manager/owner, he refused to honor the contract and my insurance paid the majority of their charges. One personal example of why our medical system needs reform.

So much depends on the therapist you get. My elderly father has received three rounds PT and OT of home care from Careage. First round: OT 5, PT 2. The OT was a great OT, made appts and kept them. The PT was constantly late, would reschedule at the last second, would end up doubling up with the OT, which my dad couldn't handle. PT preferred to talk than perform therapy. Some appts were 20 min. Second round: PT 4, OT 2. PT made appts, had lots of exercises. OT would call and ask if he could show up in 20 min. Poor with scheduling. Preferred to talk. Third round was the charm: PT 5, OT (same as R1) 5. Father's strength and balance increased a lot. Careage unfortunately laid off the PT. Her replacement was okay. Admin 5: Needed billing info for retirement insurance claims. The corporate office was super helpful and pleasant.

My experience was terrible. Very poor communication and then they just decided to stop communicating all together. Major waste of time. Very-much a profit-motivated company.
