If I could give ZERO stars I would. My son just had brain surgery and this company has no-showed each appointment without a single phone call. When I contacted them they are NOW suddenly saying they are not accepting anyone with my son’s insurance. Meanwhile, my son can not have the PT or OT his Neurosurgeon requires. The call was transferred to the director who HAD ZERO intention on letting me explain the situation, she hung up on me simply because I asked why they haven’t at least CALLED us!! Thank goodness we have options!! Horrible company!!

I’m a retired disabled veteran, with brain damage from multiple injuries like at least 6 assaults, on top of that I have multiple mental health issues. Autism and aADHD CPTSD, but fortunately I do not have dementia. I was upfront about these issues with CAREAGE Home Health Care. While I was under their care it was excellent. Things changed when the Veterans Administration took the care away when I was discharged from physical and occupational therapy was unable to progress with me. Fortunately they warned me the care was going to end. I hate surprises. But when they left me the nurses a couple and the Social Worker Taylor promised if things went wrong at least the Taylor would not abandon me. Knowing my struggles with mental syndromes and such. Well things didn’t work out like we had arranged like getting me connected with a doctor a new primary care doctor. After a 2&1/2 month wait for the doctor appointment, the day before I called to check on paperwork. Found out my appointment had been cancelled and changed to another provider unbeknown to me. So I called CAREAGE and asked to speak with Taylor. Taylor was on vacation for a while. I asked what should I do now? That’s when it turned ugly. At least twice trying to connect to Taylor the woman on the desk and one man both became rough with me. I get the impression I should never call again. They can’t help me. Period. While they didn’t hang up they did not care what was happening to me. I’ve been having mini-strokes. Up to 5 now. They are called T.I.A’s. and the more you have these little strokes you are more likely to have a major stroke. I have no doctor as I’m fairly new to Washington and it is very difficult to find a doctor who accepts my government insurance plans these days. My left knee is shot. I can barely walk and move around in my hotel room. I’m a homeless Veteran on top of everything else. I have a walker and a wheelchair but that’s it pretty much I lost everything I owned getting here from Colorado last year. I’ve tried getting care through VA but that’s been difficult even as a 100% retired service connected disabled. VA seems to be broken in the ways I need help with. So why I down rate this care company is because of the way our relationship ended with (from my perspective) me left in the cold. A lone and no help coming in sight. I’ve hired a caregiver here where I live but every time .we have something scheduled something comes up with the multiple jobs the woman has and constantly changing work schedules. I’m rightfully feeling frustrated and scared now. I can’t take care of myself by myself anymore and no one reliable is here to help me. Not even angry folks just left here scared…
