Racine was my nurse. She was always so good for my self esteem, and lifted my spirits. She even gave me a little flashing light necklace on Christmas day. She was sharp as a tack and very skilled. She showed me how to take care of myself and keep my wound infection free. This is the kind of professional we as patients are blessed with if we are lucky. A parent has used these services at least 3 times in the past 10 years. They have all been very professional, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. A nurse has been extra helpful by talking to my parent about thinking about assisted living. It's never easy for a family member to start this conversation so we are very grateful. A social worker will even to the house to discuss options and will help us make the right choice.

The nurse came out and actually said that you should think about funeral arrangements. We know it is stage 4 and what to expect from our doctors who are trying for remission. The patient isn't even housebound yet. If we get to the point that we need a nurse it won't be her.
