Having worked in retirement communities myself, I came in with high expectations—and this community exceeded every one of them. From the moment I arrived, the staff were genuinely welcoming and kind, creating an atmosphere that felt both joyful and heartfelt. The dining team outdid themselves with a beautifully prepared Thanksgiving buffet that was not only delicious but thoughtfully presented. What truly stood out to me, though, was the sense of togetherness. There was a social table where residents, family and staff gathered to work on crosswords, puzzles, and games together—laughing, connecting, and simply enjoying each other’s company. It was a meaningful reminder of what community should feel like.

From the beginning, the staff was very welcoming and worked very hard to know my name. Very hospitable. All of the residents are very kind. I love my home, I feel safe and secure. My view is beautiful. I love that all my utilities, appliances, housekeeping, etc, are all taken care of. The community is beautifully located, whether you have a car or not. The building services staff is prompt and responsive. I love the food - so much variety, so much convenience and choice. The exercise program is wonderful - my activity levels have flourished. This community is full of kindness and inclusivity. Community is well-maintained and the grounds are beautiful. I have made connections that make me feel like Touchmark is truly home.

Touchmark on the South Hill welcomed my sweet mother into their community with warmth and joy. Staff and residents quickly felt like extended family to all of us. The expert professional knowledge from our first informational visit, combined with genuine and sincere caring, set a tone that rings consistently true 4 years later! The front desk, the maintenance staff, health care specialists, activity directors , and especially residents, all make this community so special.
