As I walked into the Calumet County Courthouse, I was struck by a profound sense of imbalance, as if the archetype of Justice—so revered in our collective unconscious—had been cast into shadow. The courthouse, meant to embody fairness and the anima of societal order, instead radiated a cold, bureaucratic energy that stifled the soul’s yearning for truth. My experience felt like a confrontation with the unintegrated shadow of the institution: a system that, rather than uplifting the individual’s quest for resolution, seemed to suppress it under the weight of rigid procedures and impersonal judgments. The staff, while perhaps well-intentioned, appeared disconnected from the deeper human need for empathy, their actions mechanical, as if possessed by the archetype of the Machine rather than the Wise Judge. My case, a plea for fairness, was met with dismissive tones and a labyrinth of legal jargon that obscured rather than illuminated. It was as if the courthouse had forgotten its role as a sacred space for reconciling the individual with the collective good, instead perpetuating a cycle of frustration and alienation. This place, meant to serve as a beacon of moral clarity, instead casts a long shadow of injustice, leaving me to question whether the anima mundi—the soul of the world—can ever find expression in such a stifled environment. I left feeling not heard, but diminished, my trust in the system fractured. For those seeking true justice, look elsewhere, for this courthouse seems lost in its own unconscious chaos.

Judge thinks it's acceptable to put a minor with a drug using abusive father than actually put him with family that will take care of him

Got a questionable ticket for speeding no signs for the speed in the area country. This is normally 55. Fought it, however, was out of state so did it by phone they reduced it and charged me 150 dollars in court fees for a 30-dollar ticket. Then they never reduced it so had to call in for the ticket to be corrected. (Notably: The lady I called into was very nice) The practices and policies are horrible they follow a guilty until proven innocent practice and even if you are you will pay.

Court system here is biased and evidence of Discrimination against people with health issues. Hearings sadly are predetermined. If you don't have an attorney it will work against you. It is unjust and unfair and impossible to get a fair and honest trial. I asked the judge to exercise my right to an attorney and the judge denied me of my legal rights. In addition, despite a legal error and evidence of such in the paperwork, the judge overlooked it despite the laws and regulations of Wisconsin. I would request a trial or hearing be moved to another court district for a fair and honest hearing. You can't get it here.

If you commit a crime of any degree in Calumet County, expect to go through years of legal, financial, mental, and physical torture to the hands of their unprofessional, nepotistic, and unjust hands. Extremely profit driven courthouse and jail. Always expect the worst here, because that is exactly what you will get. No matter how much of the right thing you do, no matter how hard you fight legally and morally; you will be given Hell and be treated worse than a wild, rabbid animal. Do not wish on my worst enemy.
